Archery
Having gained entry to Dundee University you now have a fairly unique opportunity. The Dundee University Archery Club is one of only seven university archery clubs in Scotland. As such we are quite a close knit group, trading friendly jibes while we attempt to out-compete each other - as individuals and together as a club.
Archery is quite an individualised sport, with the focus being on doing exactly the same thing each time (precision), hitting the target (accuracy) and blocking out any distractions (the rest of the club). In spite of this we manage to be a really sociable club, with most of us relaxing in our sponsor pub, Medina, after practice. We also try to organise regular nights out at the union for pool, drinks and banter as well as the occasional BBQ.
So, if you feel like joining a relaxed yet competitive club, don’t hold back. Drop by our table at the sports fayre and ask us about the club and the sport. If you can’t make it, feel free to e-mail us. It doesn’t matter if you are a newbie or a seasoned veteran; this is a sports club everyone will enjoy.
