Council meetings are held the last Monday of every month at 5:15 in the ISE lecture theatre. They provide a forum for your club to meet with other clubs in the Sports Union. The meetings also give the Sports Union a chance to pass on important information to all clubs. Your clubs representation at the meetings is mandatory.

Clubs will be fined for non-attendance of Council meetings. This year the council meetings will be themed and will have interaction between the captains so that the Sports’ Union can help you in the best possible way.

Text or phone the President on 07752399755 as soon as you have finished your match. Results need to go on the BUCS website ASAP so get them in straight away.

Unless the player physically can’t walk off the pitch or be helped off the pitch, don’t call an ambulance. If none of your players have transport down at riverside call the Sports’ Union office (01382 386 048/9) and they will come down with an available bus.

Any member that is matriculated within the Sports’ Union can play for local league fixtures. Only Dundee University student’s can play for BUCS matches.

The Sports’ Union needs all player’s details and next of kin details for insurance purposes. All players MUST matriculate with the Sports’ Union to be eligible to compete for their team. (Students and non-students). Each club can have no more than 30% non students as part of their club.

All the membership details can be found by going to the ISE or checking their website. Teams both in the ISE and Riverside will have to pay membership. If you do not you will have to pay £5 for each session.

A sport membership will cover you for all training sessions and will only cost you £2.22 per week! On top of the facilities membership you will have to pay for your clubs membership, which is decided by the committee. This is paid when you matriculate and will be given straight back to club.

Once you have your league fixtures, you need to email and go see Linda Kolacz in the ISE so that you can book the facilities.

After Christmas we will post the forms needed onto the website (www.sportsunion.dundee.ac.uk). You need to fill out all the details and hand it in by the correct date. Results will be published two weeks before the Blues and Colours Award ceremony.

If you have been driving for three years, are over 21 and have a clean license you are eligible to take the test. Come in and speak to either Nici or the President.

Come into the Sports’ Union office and fill out a form stating, date of travel, insured drivers name and location of travel. Get the Administrative Secretary or the President to check the availability and sign it for you. Remember to always fill the vehicles up with DIESEL after a journey from a Dundee Petrol Station. Return the keys back to the Sports’ Union by 10 the following morning making sure the bus is clean!
